“I paint the way I feel in Nature: at peace, and with wonder at this beautiful planet we live on.

I hope that you feel your own connection to Nature when you experience my work.”

After several years of painting, Kerry gave her dining room table to a friend, bought easels and a work table, and hasn’t looked back.

Kerry feels a deep connection to sea, sky, and Earth as well as an acceptance of imperfection (the philosophy of wabi-sabi), in life as in art. The process of painting, for her, is meditative and involves many, many layers, creating deep texture and luminosity.

Kerry—past, present, and future—paints in a harmonized palette. She has developed a collection of formulas for paints and glazes that all contain her mother color, Olivia. Olivia is a nuanced color reflecting the warm sunshine of coastal California as well as the verdant botanicals that grow year-round there.

Because Olivia, the mother color, is in all the paint mixes, the colors and paintings have a familial resemblance, a harmony.

For you as a collector, this means that paintings from her various series can be hung together harmoniously, no matter when you acquire them.

Kerry, a self-taught artist, began to study painting full-time in 2020 and has studied virtually with ten professional artists in the United States and the U.K. She devoted 2021 to the study of color mixing and completed more than 500 color studies as she developed her color formulas. She has also studied in her favorite art museums: LACMA and The Broad in Los Angeles, OCMA near her home, the Tate Modern in London, Musée d’Orsay and Musée de L’Orangerie in Paris, and a recent high point: the Joan Mitchell retrospective at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.

She has been an English teacher, an award-winning writer and editor for a Fortune 500 company, and a graphic designer.

Some of her custom, pre-mixed, harmonized acrylic paint colors.

Kerry’s sketchbooks hold her color studies.
